Hail Mary...

Now, I've never been nor intend to be a Catholic, but I've long had a fascination with the icons and illuminated manuscripts, etc that are part of the Catholic tradition. I also find the stories of the Saints intriguing as well, especially the more obscure ones.

Therefore, I have decided to make occasional postings featuring some of the lesser known saints, attempting to time the entry for thier Saint Days. Virtually every day on the calendar is dedicated to a saint. Some of these saints have fallen out of popularity, or have been all but forgotten. Some are no longer recognized as official saints by the church. Some are only recognized in a specific region of the world.

I hope someone finds this even remotely educational...

Hello there, I'd like to thank you for all the information you've provided. I'm currently experiencing an enormous interest for learning about the life of saints, I don't know how to explain this feeling. I've watched movies, documentaries and biographies and everyday I want to know more and watch the movies over and over again, and learn more as I watch. I let the Holy Spirit guide me on who to study next. So far I've looked into the life of Saint Phillip Neri, St. Francis of Assisi, St. Jon Bosco, St. Domenico Savio, St. Clara of Assisi, St. Padre Pio of Pietrelcina, St. Faustina and St. Joseph of Cupertino. I recommend them if you haven't researched any of the above. I thank you again for taking the time to enter this information, it's helped me in my process and I ask our Lord to Bless you and your loved ones. I'd like to end by repeating similar words from St. Joseph of Cupertino, "Pray to God and don't get tired of doing so, for God isn't deaf and the sky isn't made of bronze, every prayer arrives and He listens."
